Historic Wismar, one of the first cities established in Mecklenburg, beckons you to explore its charming old town on a guided walking tour. A 1-hour motorcoach drive brings you to this quaint Hanseatic city where you'll set off down cobbled streets to discover some of the city's rich cultural sights. The varied architecture made Wismar the perfect location for the classic vampire film Nosferatu. Stroll passed Gothic houses, the classic Town Hall building, the historic water drainage system and a series of beautiful churches. A stop in the marketplace includes time to stop in the cafes or souvenir shops before continuing on to the port area and a brewery and local pub that first opened in the Middle Ages. Step inside to discover the rich nostalgic atmosphere and sample the traditional home-made beer and a German pretzel. Reboard the motorcoach for a relaxing drive back to port.
