Once renowned as the pearl fishing capital of the world, discover Broome's interesting past and present on this tour. You'll board your air-conditioned motorcoach and enjoy a narrated drive around Broome, visiting its premier tourist attractions along the way. Explore two restored 19th-century pearl luggers and view historical exhibits at the Pearl Luggers Museum. Stop at Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park and meet a group of rogue estuarine crocodiles, captured after tormenting fisherman or frequenting public waterways.
At Gantheaume Point, find red sandstone cliffs standing in contrast to the azure waters of the Indian Ocean. At low tide, you'll be able to view 130-million-year-old dinosaur footprints, and there is a plaster cast also available for viewing. For your last stop, enjoy a photo opportunity at the world-famous Cable Beach, where pristine waters meet pure white sand and red soil. The beach was named after the cable laid in 1889 which was used to send telegraphs between Java and Broome.
