Travel to Glendalough ("The glen of two lakes"), home to 6th century monastic ruins, via the plush hills of County Wicklow. Your tour begins with a narrated drive to Dublin for a brief panoramic drive before continuing to County Wicklow, famed as the "Garden of Ireland." You will travel into the green and uncrowded Wicklow Mountains and arrive in Glendalough, a monastic settlement founded by St. Kevin. The ruins, tucked into a glen with two small lakes, include the remains of early churches, a roofless cathedral and a well-preserved round tower dating back from the 10th century.
