Experience the majestic wonders of Alaska's beauty and Native culture with a half-day journey that begins with a leisurely float trip and ends with an experience at a Native village. From the pier you'll travel to the magnificent Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve. Once you disembark you'll be provided with rubber boots, a life jacket and safety instructions before boarding your sturdy raft. Then, you'll push off into the peaceful waters of the Chilkat River. After a picnic lunch, you'll continue to the Native village of Klukwan. A tour of the Jilkaat Kwaan Heritage Center offers a rare look at the "Whale House Collection," a much-coveted collection of 200-year-old carvings. After your tour you'll stroll to the village's traditional culture camp and watch craft and storytelling demonstrations followed by a visit to the gift shop. Finally, you'll return to your coach for the scenic ride back to your ship.
