Embark on a 3-hour excursion offering the most time (2 hours) at Juneau's marquee attraction, the famous Mendenhall Glacier, which includes entry to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center. No visit to Juneau is complete without a close-up look at the Mendenhall Glacier. Alaska's most famous and most visited glacier, located just 12 miles from downtown, is protected as part of the 5,815-acre Mendenhall Glacier Recreation Area. Upon arrival at the glacier, your guide will point out the areas of special interest and self-guided trails through Tongass National Forest. The ample visiting time allows for an unhurried exploration of this icy wonder from a variety of perspectives, which might include a walk out to the base of the extraordinary Nugget Creek Falls. Visit scenic Photo Point Trail, which winds along Mendenhall Lake for an unobstructed view of the glacier's face. Stop at the Visitor Center for an elevated view of the glacier and a look at the interactive exhibits, and informative displays that showcase the awesome force of glaciers before the return trip to Juneau.

All entry fees included. Tour operator is authorized under special use permit to access the Tongass National Forest. Does not include walking on the glacier. Visit at the glacier is self-guided as your driver is not permitted to conduct tours.Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
