This excursion combines Tours 300 and 810! After a short motorcoach ride to Juneau's heliport, you'll enter the cozy cabin of the modern, turbine helicopter, lift off and soar high over alpine ridges towards the Mendenhall Glacier. Cruising above twisted ice spires and deep crevasses, your expert pilot will set down on the surface of the glacier. A walk on Juneau's star attraction is an unforgettable sight. By now, you've probably worked up an appetite and ready for lunch at Salmon Creek. Feast on wild Alaska salmon, barbecue ribs, corn bread and dessert, under protective domes. After enjoying the musical entertainment, take the short walk to Salmon Falls to pan for gold, view spawning salmon (when in season), or the remains of the historic Wagner Mine. Linger in the gift shop or roast marshmallows over the campfire before returning to the pier at your leisure.
