Experience the best of Juneau - from Mendenhall Glacier to a salmon bake in the lush rainforest - on this approximate 4-hour excursion. Mendenhall Glacier is a meandering river of compressed blue ice that ranks as the largest glacier accessible by road in southeast Alaska. It runs a half-mile wide and hundreds of feet deep. Includes entry to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center. Savor an all-you-can-eat Alaska salmon bake, including side dishes and dessert. Listen to music while you dine under translucent domes. Afterwards, take a stroll through the woods, roast marshmallows over a fire or walk to Salmon Falls and pan for gold.
Special Notes:
All entry fees included. Soft drinks, beer and wine are available for purchase at the salmon bake. Tour operator is authorized under special use permit to access the Tongass National Forest. Does not include walking on the glacier. Visit at the glacier is self-guided as your driver is not permitted to conduct tours.Meal: Grilled wild Alaska salmon, barbecue ribs, rice pilaf, salad, baked beans with reindeer sausage, cornbread, au gratin potatoes, blueberry cake, hot apple cider, coffee, tea and lemonade. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available for purchase. Menu items are subject to change.
Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children 13 to 17 must have a signed parental consent form to participate without a parent or guardian.
