WHAT YOU WILL VISIT
Alaska's Legendary Fishing Grounds
Board a vessel appointed with restrooms, an experienced captain and state-of-the-art tackle. While appealing to the serious fishermen, beginners will enjoy this one-of-a-kind fishing adventure as well. Enjoy a scenic cruise out of the harbor to a nearby fishing grounds. Along the way, keep an eye out for whales, sea lions and other marine mammals. Your catch might be salmon, ling cod, sea bass and possibly halibut. Your captain will seek out the most promising fishing spots to help you make the most of your excursion. You catch may be professionally processed and sent to your home.
WHAT YOU WILL SEE ALONG THE WAY
Sailing out of the harbor to the fishing grounds, pass Cannery Row and Kodiak's piers – one of the busiest commercial fishing ports in the United States. In the open waters, keep an eye out for whales, sea lions and other sea mammals.
Special Notes:
Minimum age is 5 years and maximum weight is 300 lbs. Participants must be in good health and able to walk up and down a steep ramp to the boat. Area waters may be choppy. Dress warmly in layers with water-resistant outerwear. Please remember you are purchasing the opportunity to catch fish, not a guarantee of doing so. Current law restricts halibut catch on Wednesdays. All safety equipment and fishing gear is provided.A fishing license is required and can be purchased onboard your boat for $25 cash per person as well $15 per person additional for a king salmon retention tag. Children under 16 are not required to purchase a license. Your catch may be processed locally and shipped to your home for an additional charge, but may not be brought back onboard your cruise ship.
