Calling all adventure lovers! Your wildlife-watching quest sets off in search of magnificent humpback whales (seasonal December to March), frolicking pods of dolphins and so much more when you climb aboard a military grade Zodiac Hurricane for a small-group, three-hour adventure in the deep waters off Kona. Your captain deftly handles the vessel as you keep your camera at the ready to encounter 17 different resident whale and dolphin species, turtles, sharks, Hawaiian monk seals and a host of creatures from the sea. Although sightings are not guaranteed, excursions in these waters have a high success rate. The agile nature of the vessel allows the captain to get up close and personal for spectacular nature photographs. You'll have ample time to relax and learn about the rich marine life from an onboard naturalist and enjoy the diverse habitats within Hawaii's deep underwater geography. Wear a swimsuit if you want to take a dip, and bring sunscreen and of course a camera!

Special Notes:

Minimum age is 4 years. Guests are encouraged to bring cameras to photograph wildlife and become a valuable contributor to citizen science. Wildlife encounters are not guaranteed; however, with the abundance of year-round ocean residents, the chance of no sightings is low. This is an adventure tour that travels to a remote ocean destination. Guests must be ambulatory, be in good general health, and be able to step from dock down into the Zodiac. For safety purposes on the vessel and in the ocean, if the guest is hearing or visually impaired, they must be accompanied by a companion. Please bring towels, reef-safe sunscreen, hat and camera and wear a swimsuit if you want to take a quick dip.
