This exclusive, unique up-close and personal encounter at Aviarios del Caribe/Sloth Sanctuary brings a small group of participants face to face with this enigmatic mammal in the world's first sloth-only facility that was featured in "Meet the Sloths". Ideal for all ages, this tour provides an enriched introduction to sloths and their habitat, then goes "behind the scenes". Meet adult sloth ambassadors in the Learning Center. To fully experience the sloths' natural habitat, glide peacefully in a large canoe along the Estrella River, as your local boatman/guide points out the indigenous rainforest foliage and diverse wildlife along the way. Meet sloths in a pre-release enclosure on a well-tended nature trail with towering trees and beautiful birds. A short stop at a certified banana plantation will be made for you to see the plants and fruits and their importance in the local economy.
