Your Local Connections adventure in Santa Barbara offers a meaningful, authentic experience hosted by a knowledgeable guide and introduces the best of this beautiful coastal enclave, affectionately known as the American Riviera. Your half-day excursion begins with a scenic drive to the "Queen of the Missions," founded in 1786, where you will learn about this historic structure's graceful architecture and cultural significance. Continue with a drive to the Santa Barbara Courthouse, designed to resemble an Andalusian castle. Learn about its Spanish-Moorish origins and take in the magical city views from the clock tower. Then embark on a walking tour of the downtown area, including the Presidio, built in 1782. Stroll through paseos and see the historic theater district and other key points of interest.
