Explore Singapore's Chinese history and culture in a unique way. You begin by climbing aboard a bumboat for recorded narrated 30-minute cruise that offers you the history of the city as you cruise past the modern skyscrapers and restored shop-houses lining the riverbank. Docking at Calrke Quay, you'll take a short drive to the Fu Tak Chi Museum. At 184 years old, this temple and museum, one of the oldest temples in Singapore, now holds artifacts that depict the immigrant life of early Singaporeans. Reboard your motorcoach and journey to the center of Chinatown to the Sri Mariamman Temple. Built in 1827, it's the oldest Hindu Temple in the city. After your visit, you'll walk towards the Chinatown Heritage Centre to learn about Chinese people outside China, from their past to the present. Then enjoy free time to shop in Chinatown.

River cruise is not suitable for passengers who are wheelchair-confined or passengers with walking difficultiesChinatown Heritage Centre is closed on first Monday of every month.
Proper attire at Sri Mariamman Temple requires clothing that covers shoulders and knees. Shoes must be removed before entering the temple; lockers are available at an additional cost. There is an additional fee for taking photographs at the temple.
