Designed for those who wish to take in the sights with little or no walking, this narrated drive affords marvellous views, intriguing history and a glimpse at Viking culture. Once on your coach, you'll travel past Breiavannet Lake, which sits at the heart of the city, and the 12th century Stavanger Cathedral. Just outside of Stavanger in the neighborhood of Ullandhaug stands a recreated farmstead that offers a look at local life between 350 and 550 A.D. Continuing on, you'll drive along the scenic area of Jaeren. Have your camera ready for your first stop. In the village of Sola stands the ruins of a 12th century church. Photos taken, you'll re-join your coach and drive past Sola Beach, famed for its white sand dunes. As you make your way back to Stavanger, you'll pause at Hafrsfjord where King Harald Fairhair united Norway.
