Explore the wonders of Stockholm on a fascinating motorcoach tour that takes you through several diverse districts and includes a visit to the Vasa Museum. Begin your day in Gamla Stan ('Old Town'), a well-preserved medieval district. Pass such sights as the city's oldest church; the 13th century Royal Palace; Stortorget, the center square; and Vasterlanggatan, Old Town's number one tourist street. Continue through the City Center and into the neighboring island of Djurgarden, Stockholm's outdoor recreation center and home to the Vasa Museum, where you'll learn about the ill-fatted 226-foot-long warship that sank on its maiden voyage in Stockholm Harbor in 1628. Here, peruse the 11 permanent exhibits and the thousands of artifacts found on board. Then, re-board the motorcoach and drive through Diplomat Town and Östermalm, a fashionable neighborhood before you'll enjoy free time downtown for lunch and independent sightseeing before returning to the motorcoach for the ride to port.
