Enjoy a fast and thrilling boat ride around Tromsø in a rigid inflatable boat, also called an RIB. Capable of startling acrobatic maneuvers and high speeds, RIBs provide an excellent vehicle for this exhilarating excursion that begins at the pier and ends with a memory making adventure. First, you'll meet your captain for a safety briefing and suit up in a life jacket and board the RIB. Then, hang on as the captain revs the engine and steers the RIB out of the harbor and over the crystal-blue waters. Soak up the stunning views, look for wildlife and listen to local stories as you cruise towards mountainous Ryøya Island. Keep your eyes open for eagles, harbor porpoises and Håkøya Island, site of the Tirpitz, one of Germany's largest World War II battleships the sank close to the shoreline. A monument to the dead can be seen from the RIB.
