This tour will begin with a scenic drive along Oriental Bay before you venture inland and make your way to the top of Mt. Victoria. On reaching the crest, you will be treated to a panoramic view of the city and harbor. Next, you will proceed by way of Bowen Street to the area that is home to Wellington's impressive Parliament Buildings. As you pass New Zealand's Parliament, which has been meeting since 1865, learn about the history during your narrated drive. Next make a stop at the well-known Botanical Garden that houses the award-winning Lady Norwood Rose Garden. Your route will also take you past Wellington Cathedral before arriving at the former cathedral, Old St. Paul's. Although no longer a parish church, it remains consecrated and is a well-loved venue for special events. Your tour makes a brief stop here before returning to the ship by way of Wellington's central business district.
